To watch the games:
go to
www.niftyTV.com and you can download their player software. It will install an icon onto your desktop which takes you to their main menu screen. Once installed (it's harmless, has been well tested, contains no worms or virsus') on the left side of the top bar you click on CHANNELS, it will open a drop down menu .
Click on "broadcast" and it will take you to whatever live game(s) is currently being played. Nothing there until actual game start time, however. Other option is "on demand" which takes you to archive of last season. Every Monday they move recent weekend games from "broadcast" into the "on demand" archive. So as this season progresses the archive will grow to include the 2011 games, as well.
Nifty does not produce its own program, but rather takes the media feed from the arena so some games have lousy sound and jerky picture if it is from the jumbotron for instance. But most are regular TV quality with local announcers, etc.
But if you are about to overdose on basketball - it is an alternative.
Works for me (and many regular AFL fans). Hope it works for you.
Tonight I got Arizona at - 1/2. $13 to win $10 as I paid some extra juice . Week one in anything scares the hell out of me.
